NEWS - Forder Lane House has now been fully refurbished and only two rooms remain available. Forder Lane House is a 25 bed Care Home for the elderly is set in the quiet countryside of Dartington, Nr Totnes, in a complex including 18 Supported Bungalows. Originally built as a hostel in 1981 and then registered as a Residential Care Home in 1986, the home is owned by South Devon Rural Housing Association Ltd, a Registered Social Landlord and Not for Profit Organisation.
Forder Lane House has level access and is within walking distance of the local village P.O. Stores and Garage with the Dartington Cider Press Centre and the Cott Inn close by. The Care Home has a reputation of being a friendly caring home, welcoming visitors at any time. We welcome regular inspections from the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate, Environmental Health and Fire Officer.
South Devon Rural Housing Association and Forder Lane House have achieved The Investors In People Award. This is a National Quality Standard. In 2006 we introduced a Quality Assurance Programme to support our need for continuous improvement.
